Delete your ChaiTalk account.

We make it easy. Both paths below permanently delete your account and the data tied to it after a 30-day grace period.

The best way

Delete from inside the app

  1. Open ChaiTalk on your phone.
  2. Tap your avatar to open the menu.
  3. Settings, then Account.
  4. Tap Delete Account at the bottom (red).
  5. Re-enter your password or a fresh OTP, then confirm.

Your account is then scheduled for deletion 30 days out. You can cancel any time during that window by signing back in. After 30 days the deletion runs and cannot be reversed.

Can't sign in?

Request deletion by email

Enter the email you signed up with. We'll send a verification link. Click it within 24 hours to confirm.

Direct email also works: delete@chaitalk.app.

What gets deleted

Deleted permanently

  • Your profile, name, avatar.
  • Your posts, stories, shorts, voice notes, comments.
  • Your reactions, follows, blocks.
  • Your media files in our storage (everything above on S3).
  • Your chat history (messages you sent and conversation memberships).
  • Your push tokens and active sessions.

Kept (for legal + moderation)

  • Moderation history of reports filed against your account (anonymized).
  • Anonymized aggregated analytics (no personal data).
  • Legal records required by Egyptian law (DMCA notices, suspension history).
