The phases
Summer + Q4 2026
Two versions shipping back-to-back, treated as one launch. A working social network with the killer voice feature live from day one. EN + AR with real RTL typography. Closed pilot with about 500 friends across MENA.
Q1 2027
The biggest emoji store in the region with first-class surfaces for companies, stores, and events. Designers publish their sets, brands get verified Pages, events get RSVPs and reminders, all on the same feed.
2027
Where ChaiTalk becomes more than a feed. Topic communities, live audio rooms in the majlis tradition, real 1-to-1 and group audio calls, all encrypted end-to-end with no transcripts kept.
Late 2027
Opt-in business campaigns done the way our region deserves. No individual surveillance, no algorithmic targeting, just brand pages reaching the people who chose to follow them, at fair regional pricing we set in public.
2028
A separate, safer ChaiTalk for the under-13 crowd, fully controlled from the parent's adult account. No ads, no surveillance, no infinite scroll. Only the friends the parent approves, only the hours the parent allows, only the content that fits the age. Built on the same platform so families share one ecosystem without sharing one feed.
How we decide
If it only matters in San Francisco, it waits.
